Some Websites Are Complete Waste Of Time

July 4th, 2008 Posted in The Internet

I saw a post yesterday listing the top 10 most complete waste of time websites on the internet. I am not totally in agreement as I find some of the websites listed are somewhat informative and interesting. One website listed though,  in my opinion, is total bull shit. It is complete waste of time, but unfortunately it is one of the most popular websites in the USA.

Fact: Some Internet Users Are Really Bored

The website is 4chan.org or simply 4chan. It is an image bullitin board for those who are bored out of their minds. Most images posted are disgusting and completely bs. Information posted are mostly nonsense with language humans won’t understand. For example, visit the board’s random section known as /b/. People there rant and argue about nothing. Sometimes they seem so creepy that you will think they don’t belong in this world.

If You Are A Frequent Visitor Of 4chan, You Should See A Doctor ASAP

Upon initially visit, my impression of 4chan.org is like the dark side of the internet. However, just the /b/ board can generate as much as 10,000 posts a day. Now you can see how many people have no life at all. It is a waste of internet bandwidth. This type of websites should be banned to save of the souls of millions.

Yeah man what a total waste of time. The images are so disgusting! I have younger siblings, and I would hate for them to come across this site. Anyone who looks at this site has no life, I agree. Sounds like most people use it as an excuse to look at porn or disturbing pictures. Fucking gross! Then again I can just picture most of the users under the age of 18 looking at that stupid shit. This is america, the land of brain washed morons. No wonder the US is known for having low IQs!

I’ve been browsing 4chan a while, partly out of morbid curiosity and partly out of just wondering what makes people tick. Mostly people post porno pictures, which is gross. There are things on there where people record themselves hurting animals or post images of little kids getting hurt or real images of real people comitting suicide or being murdered or dying in accidents, and then everyone laughs. There are a lot of things on there that you’d really like to un-see. I have resolved at this point never to go back there.

haha… thank you for your inputs.
what is amazing is that it ranks very high in Alexa rankings. I can’t say all 4chan visitors are morons, but I am sure most of them are very very very bored!

I’ve never been on /b/, because child porn and skinned animals doesn’t exactly tickle me.

I agree though. I think while we all need to be able to laugh at times, it’s scary to think that what if someone does take it seriously after a while. Some people are just impressionable like that. A lot of people are stupid.

It’s like, I can watch a movie where people get their heads shot off with machine guns and it’s OK because it’s fake. But I would not want to watch a movie of a person being even mildly injured, let alone killed. That’s not entertainment.

I wonder, these people who are posting such horrible things anonymously on 4chan, are they as sick and twisted as they appear? How many of them are relatively good people posting in an ironic kind of way, and how many of them are the kind of people I dislike so much, who take NOTHING seriously even in real life? How many people are laughing to vent to deal with something horrible, and how many people actually take joy in others’ pain?

    Think about that…………

4chan, specifically /b/, is absolutely incredible in that it manages to draw out each posters pure, unfiltered darkside persona. An average /b/tard could be a successful businessman with a healthy, loving family; but when that person becomes Anonymous, he transforms into a twisted shadow of himself. Carl Jung would have a field day with /b/ if he were alive to see it. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if 4chan were the subject of some modern psychological studies.

haha sorry Im put my comment, but forgot to erase Cassies name. :P

LMAO HENRY YOUR SUCH A MORON! :p

I don’t understand what is going on…. haha
But thanks for some very thoughtful feedback. It is true that 4chan allows anonymous release of true self, but it is a scary thing when too many mentally unhealthy individuals gather and exchange information. It is just… unnatural…

I’ve never understood that website. It’s like all the trash you find rolled up into one. I wish they would remove it, but then again people always come up with more rubbish.
