DTP 2008 Many Cars But Not Many Models
June 1st, 2008 Posted in Local Events
Even though Driven To Perform 2008 charges $20 to enter, lineup for ticket was insane. That proves a point that Vancouver has lots of young people willing to pay for anything fun. The show had a lot of imported and modified race cars. Also there were modified exotic cars like Ferarri, Audi R8, Austin Martin, and Lamborghini. Show was packed with cars but not many models to stand beside them. Companies with race car models generated bigger crowds. I have no idea who those models were or how famous they are. I just don’t think they look that nice. I should say they can’t even compare to Japanese car models. Click here to view full album.

I wish they would have less models at these types of shows. I have many friends who are intimidated or that wont even show up because there are girls barely wearing clothes and strutting around. If we want more girls with cars who are actually into this as a hobby, then we are going to have to start catering to a new crowd.

Hi Jackson,
Thanks for your input. You are totally right for a hobbyist point of view. However, the media, especially magazines, put girls and import cars closely together and made them an obvious. Import car fans now cannot see just cars without girls. It’s like the cream on a cake.
