Do You Believe In UFO?

July 15th, 2008 Posted in Totally Random

I don’t know why, there are lots of information coming from the media about UFOs recently. I saw the UFO hunters on CNN’s Larry King Live. Also, many major internet websites are showing articles about UFOs. Even the popular Chinese internet TV program PPStream now has a dedicated channel on UFO documentaries. I have never seen such awareness before.

We Are Not Alone

From these reports and docemuntaries, I noticed that they all blame the government for not doing anything about UFOs. Some reports say that the government secretly study UFOs because they don’t want the public to be panic. In my opinion, the majority of us already believe we are not alone in this universe, so why not publicly discuss this topic.

Do UFOs Actually Exist?

There are many sightings of UFOs in recent history. Many of them caught on photo or video. I was thinking to myself, if there are so many UFO observations by people on the ground, what about pilots in the sky? There are thousands of planes in the sky at any given moment, why pilots don’t say much about UFOs? They should be able to see them first hand. I guess they are afraid, or UFOs don’t actually exist?

Here is a video I find intersting about pilots and UFOs:

It’s probable that we are not alone in the universe. But, I don’t think we can assume that UFOs are alien visitors until we have physical evidence of such, or a saucer landing somewhere and aliens popping out to say “Hello!”

One can make the argument that pilots are trained and credible witnesses to this kind of thing, but wouldn’t the average driver be as well? No doubt pilots have a lot of training, but after a while it must become routine to them, like anything else. It’s possible that they are not seeing what they think they are seeing. The human brain has a tendency to try to make sense out of visual information that comes in but that it is otherwise unable to make sense out of. Plus, we all hear stories of pilot fatigue and, in some cases though rare, drunkenness. So, it would seem that pilots are not necessarily the most credible of witnesses.

They might have seen reflections in the sky that their brains interpreted to be some kind of moving object. It’s also possible that there are experimental military aircraft zooming about that they will never admit to having. There could be meteorites or other space debris falling apart.

Is it possible that pilots have seen alien craft in the air with them? I would say it is possible but first we ought to eliminate all other possibilities. And, I don’t think we can completely rule out more convention explanations just yet.

I totally agree with your comment there. We need more real evidence in order to conclude that we are not alone.

However, I just don’t see aliens popping out to say Hello is going to happen anytime soon. How are we going to provide concrete evidence?

The officials and the UFO researchers provide reports in 2 opposite sides. We just don’t know which side to believe in. I just hope one day they can work together and solve this problem.
